Ernakulam becomes first civil station in the state to set up walk through temperature scanner

A walk through temperature Scanner has been installed at Kakkanad Civil Station today. As part of COVID-19 preventive measures, a scanner was installed that did not require human intervention, similar to the ones at airports.

Ernakulam is also the first civil station in the state to set up a Walk Through Temperature Scanner. Cameo Automations has set up a system worth Rs 1.5 lakh in the District Collectorate. The installation of such scanners is also under consideration in other major office complexes in the district

Temperatures of employees and visitors were assessed using a handheld thermal scanner at the collectorate. Security personnel were wearing a mask and checking the temperature of each. The faces of those who pass through the new system are scanned and if there is an abnormal temperature the screen will be clear and the alarm will sound.
